The article, Studying Abroad Makes Young People More Open and Stable, published 16th July in Expat Forum, shows that young people who study overseas gain emotional experience as well as educational. The research, carried out by psychologists at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, also suggested that living and studying overseas lead to further career success. Conclusions were made by asking students moving overseas and students staying in their country of origin a series of questions to measure openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and emotional stability.
