Things are looking up for Sea Bright restaurant owner, Joanne Garelli, who overcame the nightmare of Hurricane Sandy, with the opportunity of a lifetime; to star in a hit reality show. Co-owner of Steve's Breakfast & Lunch in Sea Bright, New Jersey, with her husband Steve for 27 years, Garelli carried on her love of cooking and hit the road cross-country to compete in the fourth season of the Food Network television series, "The Great Food Truck Race."
The competition requires chefs to go head-to-head and battle for the title of "best food on the go." Traveling over 4,000 miles, contestants serve their best recipes out of their restaurant on wheels to see who earns the most money. The winner will receive $ 50,000 and the keys to their own food truck. Assisting Garelli is Sea Bright resident Ilene Winters and experienced Chef Tim Boulous.
The "Great Food Truck Race" airs on Food Network Sundays at 9:00 p.m.
