Interdean Explore Research Into Salary Increases Around the World in 2014

Expat Forum has recently reported results of research into expected salary trends in countries around the world. The study, conducted by ECA International, indicates that while UK employees should expect their salaries to increase by 3%, employees in Latin America and Asia are expected to experience the highest pay rises. While rates of inflation can affect the wage increase experienced by employees, the average pay increase in European countries is expected to be 3.5%. Employees in Russia and Ukraine meanwhile, are expected to see an increase of up to 8%.
The highest pay increase is expected to be in Venezuela, where employees are anticipated to experience an average rise of 26% next year. Research indicates that the second highest salary increase will be in Argentina, although the expected 25% inflation rate could mean that individuals may not experience a noticeable difference despite a pay increase. Elsewhere, the research discovered that Latin America and Asia will see increases of 11% and 10%, respectively.
