Differentiating Between Cars That Stop and Those That Don?t

Differentiating Between Cars That Stop and Those That Don't

Vehicle Loop Detector

Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) October 22, 2013

EMX Industries Inc. Cleveland Ohio, a world-class manufacturer of sensors for industrial automation and access control, introduces the new ULTRALOOP – ULT-DIN vehicle loop detector featuring EMX exclusive Detect on Stop (DOS). The ULT-DIN is the only inductive vehicle loop detector on the world wide market capable of differentiating between moving and stopped vehicles.

Like previous versions of the company's vehicle loop detectors, the new model features small size (it snaps onto a DIN rail), low power draw, the ULTRAMETER sensitivity display, and automatic sensitivity boost. But it adds a feature exclusive to EMX: Detect on Stop (DOS). The DOS output triggers only when a vehicle stops for at least one second over the loop, and ignores those that keep going. The unit's regular output indicates both moving and stationary vehicles.

Why Detect On Stop is Important

There are many cases where simply detecting that a vehicle is present is not enough. Examples include parking lot exit gates, which should open only when a car is ready to leave, and not when one simply drives past the exit gate; fast food restaurants, where a car driving through the take-out line should not be counted as a customer waiting in line; and commercial and industrial overhead doors, which should not open whenever a forklift or automatic guided vehicle passes by. The DOS feature solves these problems.

Price and Availability

The ULT-DIN vehicle loop detectors are in stock and retail under $ 150.00.

For more information:

To request a datasheet on the ULTRALOOP ULT-DIN vehicle loop detector with DOS, or any of the EMX vehicle detection products, call EMX at 800-426-9912, send an email to salessupport(at)emxinc(dot)com, or visit the EMX Web site at http://www.emxinc.com.

HIPOWER SYSTEMS Debuts New Natural Gas Conditioning Products at This Year?s at POWER-GEN International

HIPOWER SYSTEMS Debuts New Natural Gas Conditioning Products at This Year's at POWER-GEN International

(PRWEB) November 13, 2013

HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced it will debut two new gas-processing accessory lines―Processed Gas Polishing Fuel Scrubber models FPS-100 and Unprocessed Gas Conditioning System models FCS-25, FCS-50 and FCS-100―at POWER-GEN International. The event, which is widely recognized as a world stage for power industry innovations, ideas and solutions for more than two decades, will take place November 12-14, 2013 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

"HIPOWER SYSTEMS is a pioneer in driving power-generation solutions to the oil fields, and these latest products are important, not only for HIPOWER SYSTEMS, but also for our oil and gas industry customers," said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. "Operators who burn natural gas as their power-generation fuel source enjoy significant fuel savings compared to diesel, but the gas must be clean enough not to clog sophisticated internal components. These two products can handle a substantial portion of the cleaning duties for all available natural gas sources."

FCS-25-50-100: The FCS Unprocessed Gas Conditioning System line is designed primarily to process raw natural gas to provide a dehydrated and consistent BTU for safe, clean utilization in high-speed natural gas and bi-fuel applications. Contaminates such as free liquids, heavy hydrocarbons, water vapor, and H2S (hydrogen sulfide) are common problems when trying to use unprocessed gas―such as well-head gas streams―from field locations. The FCS line of unprocessed gas conditioning systems removes or reduces many of the impurities that can cause "dirty" natural-gas related engine failure and lowers pressures safely at a range from as high as 1440 psi to below 100 psi.

These portable, passive dehydration systems are skid mounted on a heavy-duty carbon steel frames with large forklift pockets and 360-degree overall protection from forklifts, cranes, skid loaders and other types of equipment used to move the equipment. Outdoor-rated components are NEMA 3R and the pressure vessels meet ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes.

FPS-100: The FPS Processed Gas Polishing Fuel Scrubber models line is designed specifically to remove water and condensates from small well-head streams to provide a dehydrated and consistent BTU for utilization in high-speed natural gas and bi-fuel applications that require safe, clean natural gas. Polishing fuel scrubbers are important for second-stage or maintenance cleaning after unprocessed gas has been conditioned initially. The compact, modular polishing, gas-filtration system design allows easy access to any vessel for routine maintenance and yet protects the entire component from direct contact with forklifts, cranes, skid loaders and other types of equipment.

"The debut of these natural-gas conditioning solutions represents the first time that products so specifically targeted to the oil fields have debuted at POWER-GEN," said Acosta. "We invite conference attendees to stop by our booth and learn more about the amazing cleansing transformations these products achieve with even well-head natural gas."

About HIPOWER SYSTEMS

HIPOWER SYSTEMS (a division of Himoinsa, S.L.) is the principal supplier of power distribution and prime, standalone power-generation equipment and packages to the U.S. and Canadian markets, serving the Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors including the Agriculture, Telecommunications, Health Care and Oil & Gas Industries. The company builds and customizes diesel generators from 8kw to 3MW and natural gas or alternative fuel/bi-fuel sets from 20 to 400kW with a complete range of accessories, including automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, UL tanks, enclosures and power distribution equipment.

In North America and throughout the globe, our rental packages and power distribution equipment are recognized as the best power solution source for emergency and disaster relief. For more information, visit http://www.hipowersystems.com.

New Paragon Hard Disk Manager 14 Gains a Host of New Features Including Windows 8.1 Support and an Enhanced and Faster Disk Imaging Technology

New Paragon Hard Disk Manager 14 Gains a Host of New Features Including Windows 8.1 Support and an Enhanced and Faster Disk Imaging Technology

Freiburg, Germany (PRWEB UK) 19 November 2013

Paragon Software Group (PSG) a leader in data protection and backup and disaster recovery, today announced the release of Paragon Hard Disk Manager (HDM) 14 Suite and Professional editions. HDM 14 is the all-inclusive data management tool for Windows users to maintain and administer PCs and work stations with minimal effort over their entire life cycle. HDM 14 is compatible with the Windows 8 streamlined, tile-oriented interface, offering a Metro-style express launcher and a ribbon-based full-scale launcher. Hard drives can be partitioned and data can be backed up using a variety of backup routines no matter whether they are in physical or virtual environments. HDM 14 supports dynamic drives and presents users with the ideal solution for modern hard disk management.

Providing support for Windows BitLocker, HDM 14 Professional edition allows users to protect valuable or private data not only from accidental loss but also from unauthorized access. HDM 14 delivers faster data protection than the native Windows feature, as well as data recovery of BitLocker encrypted partitions.

HDM 14 introduces the pVHD format optimized for storing backups of virtual and physical machines. Now users have the option to backup data either as PBF files or in the new pVHD (Paragon Virtual Hard Drive) format. pVHD is very efficient in handling incremental chains, data deduplication and synchronization. With pVHD, backups may be up to four times smaller than the original objects. The introduction of pVHD has also made incremental imaging work ten times faster and with greater stability compared with the traditional PBF format, thus allowing easy and efficient backup to network storage.

HDM 14 allows data transfer to SSDs. The software offers source partition size reduction and the option of excluding some data from the transfer. Previously not allowed, the contents of a 512-byte hard disk now can be easily copied or restored to a 4K hard disk.

HDM 14 offers complete uEFI support under Windows, WinPE, and Linux, including a uEFI-compatible backup capsule. P2V Assistant also supports physical uEFI configurations allowing users to migrate from physical systems to virtual environments with just a few clicks.

"Hard Disk Manager has been helping Windows users manage and back up their storage for almost 15 years. HDM 14 keeps pace with current practices through full support for Windows 8.1, faster backup to network, and features to assist migration to solid state drives," says Konstantin Komarov, CEO of Paragon Software Group. "Paragon Software looks forward to meeting its customers' evolving storage management needs in the years ahead," he added.

Major New Features:

    Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 compatibility
Redesigned user interface, including Windows 8-style GUI
BitLocker support — for volume backup, restore, copy, hide/unhide, delete, and much more (available in the Professional editon only)
Windows Storage Spaces support — easily manage large storage pools
    Windows 8.1 compatible Adaptive Restore
New pVHD backup container format — Paragon´s proprietary image format is a better approach for desktop virtualization and disaster recovery. The platform-independent format helps reconstuct a Windows or Linux-based PC, including partition layout, partition data, and boot data. An image can be mounted as a virtual hard drive for use with a virtual machine. pVHD images can easily be converted to VHD, VHDx, or VMDK formats
Updated Universal Image Mounter (UIM) — enables mounting of pVHD and PBF backup images (full and incremental) to browse their contents and retrieve data via HDM 14 or directly from Windows. Also provides a convenient way to mount archives as virtual hard drives or virtual partitions for use with virtual machines.
    WinPE 4.1 based recovery environment
Two ways to create WinPE-based recovery environment: either create a 'white label' WinPE recovery environment using AIK/ADK or build your own private recovery media using Windows recovery image.
Updated WinPE Recovery Media Builder — prepares either Linux- or WinPE-based bootable environment on a flash drive or in an ISO file without requiring the Windows ADK or WAIK be installed
Complete uEFI support in Windows, WinPE, and Linux, including uEFI compatible backup capsule
Updated Linux-based recovery environment — now based on SUSE 12.3, with an updated user interface and support for all varieties of modern hardware configurations including uEFI and legacy BIOS computers
Copy/Restore to dissimilar sector size — easily copy or restore contents of a 512-byte hard disk to a 4K hard disk with no additional actions required
ReFS support to take images of ReFS partitions
    Supports VMware Workstation 10.0

NFI Recognized as a Top 50 Green Fleet by Heavy Duty Trucking Magazine

NFI Recognized as a Top 50 Green Fleet by Heavy Duty Trucking Magazine

Cherry Hill, N.J. (PRWEB) November 14, 2013

NFI, a leading supply chain company headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is pleased to be recognized as a Top 50 Green Fleet by Heavy Duty Trucking (HDT) magazine.

HDT considers NFI ahead of the curve in sustainability efforts and awarded the supply chain provider for its carbon footprint focus and maximum sustainability practices it has implemented. Selection of the Top 50 Green Fleets was made based on vehicles, alternative fuels, and other green initiative strategies, such as solar powered operations, in place throughout the company.

In 2012, NFI introduced the company's first compressed natural gas fleet in California. In October of this year, NFI launched a 17-truck natural gas fleet in partnership with Lowe's. With this natural gas fleet, Lowe's and NFI anticipate greenhouse emission reduction at nearly 20 percent in addition to fuel cost control. NFI currently operates more than 20 natural gas trucks across the North America and is continuously exploring opportunities to utilize natural gas and alternative fuels.

Sustainability efforts are also in place within NFI's warehousing and distribution operations. Across NFI's 20+ million sq. ft. of warehousing space in North America, propane powered forklifts and an extensive recycling program are used in daily operations. NFI's headquarters operates solely on solar power, which was implemented by NFI's solar division. NFI's intermodal division also participates in sustainability through double-stacking containers to create better fuel efficiency.

NFI is focused on creating a positive impact on its carbon footprint and is consistently working on ways to test practices in place, make improvements, and create newer, more sustainable business practices. All of these green efforts are in support of one of NFI's six core values, social responsibility, in the work environment and in surrounding communities.

In addition to being recognized as a Top 50 Green Fleet, NFI's commitment to sustainability has been seen through other awards this year including Inbound Logistics' 75 Green Supply Chain Partner and the EPA's 2013 SmartWay Excellence Award. Other sustainability accolades NFI has received include the International Communitas Award Winner for Green Initiatives and the Stevies International Business Award for Environmental Responsibility.

The Top 50 Green Fleets list is published in HDT's November 2013 issue.

Holiday Card Ordering Made Easy with ePrint123.com

Holiday Card Ordering Made Easy with ePrint123.com

Holiday Cards

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 18, 2013

There is something special about a paper holiday card arriving in the mail; it just feels more personal than email or text greetings. Even so, in this digital age, many people are going the easy route instead of dealing with the hassle of writing and mailing paper cards. Now what if there was an easy way to send good ol' paper greeting cards without the good ol' headaches? ePrint123.com can do just that.

Of course many websites already offer customized greeting cards, but most of them fall short in terms of quality, speed, and/or service. In a recent survey, customers identified six top issues with using online printing companies for greeting and holiday cards:

1. Poor print quality. Blurry image, pixelated output, mis-registration, and a waxy toner look are common among online printers. Such problems are typically associated with toner-based color copiers from Canon, Xerox, and Kodak.

2. Inconsistent color. This problem is so common that even with a small order of 25 or 50 cards, colors drift from one end of the spectrum to the other, usually due to lack of quality standards and calibration.

3. Slow delivery. Online print sites offering low-ball prices typically gang-run many jobs from different customers to lower cost. This results in unacceptably long job turnaround and a lowest-common-denominator quality.

4. Lack of service. Many websites hide behind their websites, not publishing their address or phone number. Customers can only contact the company using a web form and most of the time, get frustrated due to lack of satisfactory answers and slow response.

High-end greeting cards are typically produced on top-quality digital presses like the HP Indigo 7600 at ePrint123.com, using true ink instead of toner. At close to one million dollars each, these presses are much more costly than digital copiers, require skilled pressmen to run them and produce the highest image quality attainable. The difference is stunning – vivid colors, sharp details, and the consistency of accurate color separate ePrint123's Indigo digital printing from all the rest. With a long history of running every generation of Indigo since 1996, ePrint123 leverages its 17 years of digital printing experience to offer the very best digital printing on the market.

ePrint123.com's website features a simple and elegant design, with an easy to navigate workflow. Customers simply choose paper and finishing options, enter the quantity, and a price is provided instantly. Extras like envelope printing, inserting, mailing, postage, and delivery to the post office round up the offerings, making it one of the easiest turn-key solutions for the customer.

For customers that don't have an existing layout, ePrint123 offers professional design templates, ready for customization using the webstore's Interactive Designer. Customers can upload photo, logo, add text, change font/color/size, and approve an electronic proof directly within the web browser. Filter of Hope Announces Donation Initiative to Aid Typhoon Victims in the Philippines

Filter of Hope Announces Donation Initiative to Aid Typhoon Victims in the Philippines

Panama City Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 18, 2013

Attacking the global water crisis head-on, Filter of Hope is launching their brand new web site (http://www.filterofhope.org) and donation initiative to deliver inexpensive, point-of-use water filters to families living in the most desperate living conditions on the planet.

Filter of Hope's new website launches at a critical time as thousands upon thousands are suffering from the destruction and aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. During the aftermath of such a tragedy, the first essential need is clean, safe drinking water.

Before this disaster, according to the MDG Progress Report, 16 million Filipinos lacked access to safe drinking water. Now, clean water is absolutely critical for the survival of those left homeless and helpless after this horrific storm.

Filter of Hope is partnering with Samaritan's Purse, Convoy of Hope, and other relief organizations that will be distributing the Filter of Hope water filters to areas of greatest need. This emergency initiative allows donors to purchase a Filter of Hope ($ 40) for a family, which will give them all the clean water they need for drinking, cooking, and washing.

To donate, simply navigate to http://www.filterofhope.org and click the banner that says "Help Those in the Philippines Now." Social media users can share the shortened link bit.ly/hope123 and tag @FilterofHope to help spread the word.

New Web Site Launch

The new web is incredibly simple to navigate while providing a wealth of information about Filter of Hope, the global water crisis, and how individuals, businesses, and organizations can partner with the non-profit to provide clean water for families in developing countries.

At http://www.FilterofHope.org, they have made donations simple and easy for anyone to provide for a family who has no access to clean, safe water. Individuals may give any amount as either a one-time or recurring donation using the site's safe, encrypted payment system. They've also incorporated some interesting features to the site as well. For instance, users can navigate to the "Proof" page to see on a world map where Filter of Hope filters are in use, along with a counter showing the total number of filters distributed and approximate gallons of water that are filtered daily.

Along with the new web site, Filter of Hope is launching their new social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and a YouTube Channel. Fans and donors can Like or follow Filter of Hope on these pages for the most up-to-minute updates and engagement with the team.

Filter of Hope's Beginnings

Filter of Hope's beginnings can be traced to 2007 when the organization's founders were traveling in the Dominican Republic and searching for ways to provide a sustainable, clean water solution for the poorest families on the island.

A Breakthrough

After being disappointed with the different types of filtration methods available, a breakthrough occurred in 2011 when they came across a unique filtration technology using hollow fiber filter membranes. This technology had been used in kidney dialysis and wastewater treatment for years and could also be used to make an inexpensive, gravity-fed, point-of-use water filter that removes the harmful bacteria and protozoa from water.

The team has now created a simple water filter using this "hollow fiber membrane filtration" technology that can provide an incredible 150 gallons of clean, safe water a day. With very little maintenance, the filter can be used up to 10 years! That's nearly 550,000 gallons of clean, life-giving water for a family using the filter.

About Filter of Hope

Filter of Hope is a 501(c)3 non-profit based out of Panama City Beach, Fla. that works with individuals, organizations, schools, churches, corporations and foundations to help raise awareness and funding for their amazing point of use water filters that remove the harmful bacteria from water that kills millions of people each year.

Filter Of Hope believes clean water is a basic human right that must be met in order to help families break the cycle of poverty. They are dedicated to ending this cycle of poverty one community at a time, one family at a time.

Clean water creates healthy bodies, relieves suffering, opens the door of education to children and allows parents to seek jobs to provide for their families. In short, clean water gives hope!

HIPOWER SYSTEMS Adds Step-Up, Step-Down Transformers to Its Product Offering; Gives Rental Companies Quality and Flexibility in a Portable Package

HIPOWER SYSTEMS Adds Step-Up, Step-Down Transformers to Its Product Offering; Gives Rental Companies Quality and Flexibility in a Portable Package

(PRWEB) November 14, 2013

HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced the launch of its new line of step-up, step-down transformers. The transformers, which range from 15 to 500KVA (kilo volt amperes) are available in portable transformer packs and dolly configurations, both of which feature HIPOWER's ultra-secure, carbon- steel-caged enclosures.

"Our rental customers in the U.S. and Canada experience significant demand for these units, which are well-suited for use by entertainment industry companies that rely on generators to power their events," said Raimond Castillo, HIPOWER Sales Director, Oil & Gas Division. "They're also valuable at remote refineries, job sites and other industrial operations, where they enable users to charge cell phones, run laptops and perform other office operations when suitable power would otherwise be unavailable."

In both of these instances, the transformers work by "stepping down" the power—reducing higher voltage feeds (600; 480 volts) to levels as low as 120 volts (as well as 240 or 208). For the entertainment industry specifically, transformers such as these are pivotal to operation, as they filter power that can cause vibration in—and potentially damage to—expensive speakers and other sound equipment.

Features of the HIPOWER Transformers include:

0.090" Aluminum enclosure, Nema 3R, powder coated Hipower White.
(1x) Set of Camloks 600/480V 3Ø-4W Input/Output with color coded covers.
(1x) Set of Camloks 208V 3Ø-4W Input/Output with color coded covers.
Dual voltage input 600V & 480V, Nema 3R, CSA & UL listed transformer.
Double Throw Safety Switch with three lockable on-off positions.
Heavy duty Carbon Steel cage with 6"x3" forklift pockets & casters.

"HIPOWER SYSTEMS enjoys a reputation for offering some of the finest portable power generation equipment in the world," said Castillo. "With these transformers, our rental-company clients can expand their HIPOWER line with confidence, knowing they'll enjoy the same quality as we offer in our other products."

MTI Systems' Latest Cost Estimating Software Update, Adds 70% Faster Estimating Speed for Landoll Corporation

MTI Systems' Latest Cost Estimating Software Update, Adds 70% Faster Estimating Speed for Landoll Corporation

West Springfield (PRWEB) October 23, 2013

After researching a new cost estimating software solution, back in 2007, Landoll Corporation (Marysville, Kansas) implemented MTI Systems, Inc.'s Costimator® software to help them increase the speed, accuracy and consistency of their estimating and quoting. Since then, Landoll Corporation has continued to realize over 70% faster quoting turnaround times, as well as significantly improved accuracy and consistency in the quotes they deliver.

The Landoll Corporation designs, fabricates, finishes and markets a varied product line of light and heavy equipment in the transportation, material handling & agricultural industries. Their client list is as impressive as anyone in their industry, servicing such heavyweights such as John Deere, GMC, Snorkel, Caterpillar, Altec and Monosem. Landoll manufactures a diverse array of products including parts & components for earthmoving equipment, trailers, farming industry and tactical vehicles for the US Military. Products they manufacture include their own line of Landoll-owned trailers and tillage, Brillion tillage, Bendi forklift, Drexel forklift, and ICON earthmoving equipment.

"As our cost estimating has developed using Costimator®, by implementing and using more cost models, our estimating and quoting turnaround time, per job, continues to be reduced – saving us even more time," responds Scott Padgett, Estimator, Landoll Corporation. "Recently, I estimated a quote for a very large fuel tank that took a couple of days instead of an entire week or more. The result is, I estimated and won the quote in a matter of a few days compared to weeks or longer. This enabled us to move on to other jobs reducing costs and offering us more opportunities to quote more jobs offering options to add more profits."

MTI Systems recently released Costimator® version 12 with enhancements that offered more benefits when using "Cost Modeler, the embedded cost model editing tool. While Costimator® is shipped with over 300+ cost models, this tool enables users to create their own process/ work center specific to their times. In this update, among other added benefits, a scroll bar was recently added allowing users to view more elaborate information -- that being the details that pertain to more complex cost models."

Explore Landoll Corporation Testimonial Video Using Costimator Scott Padgett explains how the use of the cost model editing program embedded within Costimator® has helped them expand the software for their specific needs.

"After personally building and/or modifying more than 100 cost models, we began to build and structure them with more details and inputs offering more options and time savings for users," Remarks Scott. "We explained to MTI Systems our need to have the ability to scroll through these more complex models, that were significantly longer than typical cost models included out of the box and they provided the solution in their next update. It is quite impressive to get changes made shortly after we requested them."

Costimator was originally developed in 1982 and was designed to serve as a platform to make cost estimating easier for manufacturing, fabrication and mechanical assembly companies by calculating cycle time and the cost of manufacturing a part or assembly based on the capabilities of the equipment and their shop rates. As time passed, the team at MTI was able to make significant improvements to Costimator, including advanced parametric estimating, enhanced cost estimating methods, should costing, target pricing and more. This allowed Costimator to serve an even wider range of clients than before, including a wide variety of OEMs, defense & aerospace industries, medical, automotive and consumer product manufacturers.
