The Top Selling Marking Tape ? SafetyTac ? is Now Being Offered Through Creative Safety Supply

The Top Selling Marking Tape – SafetyTac – is Now Being Offered Through Creative Safety Supply

SafetyTac Marking Tape

Lake Oswego, OR (PRWEB) February 15, 2013

SafetyTac industrial floor tape has been used in some of the toughest environments and has out-performed the rest with its strong adhesive and double-tapered edge that makes it feel like it's just part of the floor. Creative Safety Supply is now offering SafetyTac floor tape as their top seller when it comes to marking floor tape. It is considered as #1 rated for all traffic situations including high forklift and truck traffic. SafetyTac tape is the perfect solution for almost any floor marking project for both office and factory scenarios. The tape has a thinner profile and stronger adhesive than other industrial tapes and can handle heavy forklift traffic and truck traffic, making it suitable for most any size facility.

The easy to apply peel-n-stick installation makes marking floor projects run smooth and requires little time to complete. There is no dry time, cure time, fumes or messy clean up, which can limit productivity. There is no applicator that is needed to install and the tape will not come up until it is required to come up. The tape is chemical, UV, water, and grease resistant making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.

SafetyTac tape is available in ten colors making it ideal for 5S programs. The bright colors bring visual awareness to aisles, stairways and hazardous areas for employees, pedestrians and visitors. SafetyTac tape can prevent accidents if used properly as suggested by OSHA floor marking standards. Creative Safety Supply offers a free floor marking guide that will provide information to help create a safe workplace for any office, warehouse, or facility.

A plant manager commented about SafetyTape tape, "We purchase the SafetyTac tape for our warehouse floors and the tape has lasted longer than any other tape. We have pallet jacks and forklifts running over them all day. And the tape has lasted 2 years before having to be replaced."

A-B Tech Praised by President Obama for Advanced Manufacturing Training Opportunities

A-B Tech Praised by President Obama for Advanced Manufacturing Training Opportunities

President Barack Obama greets members of the audience after a speech Wednesday at Linamar in Arden, NC

Asheville, NC (PRWEB) February 16, 2013

President Barack Obama touted Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College for providing relevant training to students during his stop at Linamar in Arden on Wednesday.

A-B Tech started working with Linamar a few years ago to provide two types of training for the company, according to Shelley White, Senior Executive Director of Economic and Workforce Development/Continuing Education at A-B Tech.

"We do open enrollment technical skills training such as machining, forklift operator and welding. Those classes help prepare students to gain employment with the company. Then we have customized training where we develop training solutions to meet their business needs," she said.

Obama praised customized training partnership at the College. "A-B Tech and Linamar worked together to do something that is really smart. Rather than have kids just – or in some cases not kids, older workers – show up and they're taking a bunch of classes but they don't know how this is directly going to lead to a job, what you do is customize the class to train people so they can come and work at the plant and they're getting experience that's directly applicable to what's being done here at the job," he said.

A-B Tech has several partnerships with industry, each customized to meet the needs of that company. "We have great curriculum, continuing education and customized training partnerships with Eaton, Kearfott, AvL Technologies and so many others," said White.

"That's good for the community. It's good for Linamar, because they're getting workers who they know can do the job. It's good for the folks who are going to the community college, because they know if they work hard and they do well in the class there's a job waiting for them. It's good for the economy as a whole," Obama said.

Cindy Hamilton, Director of Economic and Workforce Development, was at Linamar with White when Obama spoke. "The part I love is how he highlighted the customized training, meaning the specialized training meets the needs of that particular industry. It was a highlight to the community college system and A-B Tech in particular on how well we are able to customize training to each individual business - large or small. The College is very responsive to the needs of industry," she said.

During the State of the Union address on Tuesday, Obama mentioned 3D printers as a sign of advanced technology. A-B Tech has trained students on the design software and the printer itself for the past few years, according to White. "Some of the other advanced technology skills in manufacturing offered at A-B Tech beyond the CNC machining include CNC plasma cutting, hydraulic and pneumatic trainers for mechanical engineering, robotic trainers and robotic welding," she said.

Obama singled out Linamar employee Jeff Brower who had been laid off as a diesel mechanic. "He went to A-B Technology, took a class in automated machining. A few months ago, Jeff got his diploma. He graduated on a Wednesday, interviewed at this plant on Thursday. By Friday, he was working as a machine operator," he said.

"We are honored the President recognized the College as a national model of a successful partnership between higher education and industry. This exposure will benefit our students and the community as it brings attention to the technical training and jobs in advanced manufacturing that are available," White said.

The Road Ahead: Truck Rental in Canada Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld

The Road Ahead: Truck Rental in Canada Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 16, 2013

The Truck Rental industry operated in a volatile environment over the past five years. The recession and its aftermath decreased activity in the truck transportation sector and markedly decreased housing construction activity, says IBISWorld industry analyst Kevin Boyland, "and as a result, demand from the commercial and consumer markets waned in 2008 and 2009." Amid the tough economic climate, many surviving trucking firms, which represent a key customer market, opted for truck leases over purchasing vehicles outright to improve flexibility and lower operational costs.

Given the economic uncertainty, industry operators had to streamline operations and improve efficiencies to maintain profitability. According to Boyland, "One strategy the industry's largest operators undertook was to maintain and expand economies of scale through mergers and acquisitions." Indeed, major player Ryder completed five industry-related acquisitions from 2009 to 2011. As consolidation within the Truck Rental industry increased, the number of industry firms declined an estimated 2.0% per year on average to 251 in 2013.

Following significant recessionary declines, a government stimulus package helped increase the number of housing starts. As more consumers moved, demand for truck rentals from this market increased. Although demand for truck rentals and leases waxed and waned, the industry received an overall net increase in demand over the five years to 2013, albeit a small one. As a result, revenue grew at a meager annualized rate of 0.4% over the period to $ 2.5 billion in 2013.

Increasing emissions and fuel-efficiency regulations are anticipated to drive demand from the commercial market going forward. Indeed, regulation aimed at lowering emissions from long-haul tractor-trailers and large pickup trucks by 23.0% by 2018 will require downstream customers to either purchase or lease new vehicles. IBISWorld expects that the majority of downstream trucking firms and fleet operators will lease their vehicles from industry operators as they seek more predictability and flexibility in their cost structures. Revenue is anticipated to grow 1.2% through 2013 as trucking companies replace their fleets with more fuel-efficient leased trucks. As this trend persists and housing construction activity recovers, revenue is forecast to grow over the five years to 2018. Forklift and Tugger Traffic Signs are Now Offered through Creative Safety Supply

Forklift and Tugger Traffic Signs are Now Offered through Creative Safety Supply

Forklift Safety Sign

Lake Oswego, OR (PRWEB) March 07, 2013

Facilities that conduct business where forklifts and tuggers are present should be aware that safety can be jeopardized if warning signs are not displayed. Creative Safety Supply understands the importance of safety and is now offering forklift and tugger floor signs to help keep the workplace safe. The forklift and tugger traffic signs are industrial-grade and are made from a durable vinyl and will hold up to extreme forklift, tugger and foot traffic. The signs provide information where it is needed most – on the warehouse floor. The signs are easy to install and can be placed almost anywhere by just peeling and sticking it to almost any surface. Sizes range from 12 inches to 32 inches in diameter and can be seen from a distance away.

Successful companies incorporate safety programs and lean methods into their daily business activities and the forklift and tugger traffic warning signs fit right into these programs making any safety program affordable. Safety is critical to a company and these signs can prevent unnecessary accidents form happening. Making employees and visitors aware of forklift and tugger traffic is as simple as displaying signs that are large enough and color enough to see. When accidents do happen, it can cost a company thousands of dollars for disability and compensation insurance. Once an employee is injured, productivity is hindered and could cause profits to decrease and customer service can be affected in a negative way.

A plant manager commented about the warning signs, "We have had no forklift accidents since installing the signs throughout our warehouse. Safety is important to our employees and business and the signs are an affordable way to keep our employees safe."

Forklift & Conveyor Manufacturing in Canada Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld

Forklift & Conveyor Manufacturing in Canada Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 22, 2013

When discussing the Forklift and Conveyor Manufacturing industry in Canada, one actually discusses US demand for Canadian goods. "Exports to Canada's southern neighbour consistently account for more than 70.0% of all industry exports and more than 80.0% of total industry revenue," says IBISWorld industry analyst Josh McBee. As such, US trends in the industry's key downstream markets of manufacturing, construction and warehousing largely dictate revenue potential and outcomes.

The tension between this industry's reliance on exports to the United States and its ongoing trade deficit have created a state of decline. According to McBee, "Coupled with historically high steel prices during the past five years, price-based competition from cheaper US products has placed downward pressure on manufacturers' profit margins." In turn, the number of companies making forklifts and conveyors in Canada has been steadily declining. To avoid exiting the industry, some companies have slashed their unskilled labour forces to increase operational efficiencies while investing in highly skilled engineers to perform research and development (R&D) on higher-margin, value-added products. These activities have resulted in steady declines for employment and wages during the past five years, but the average wage has remained relatively stable because higher salaries for R&D departments offset reductions on the assembly line.

Concentration in the Forklift and Conveyor Manufacturing industry is low, with a large number of mid-sized firms specializing in forklift parts and attachments or specialized conveyor systems. The industry's leading companies are expected to comprise an estimated 10.7% of total industry revenue in 2013. Only Skyjack manages to employ more than 500 people, but more than half of all establishments operate with fewer than 50 employees. As economic downturns in US manufacturing and construction limited demand for this industry's products, companies have been exiting the industry. As such, market share concentration has been increasing during the past five years. Market share concentration will likely continue to increase, as the largest Canadian companies that managed to endure the US recession continue to grow their market shares.

During the five years to 2013, IBISWorld projects industry revenue will decrease at an annualized rate of 3.1%. The decline stems largely from a 27.4% drop in revenue during 2009, in which US demand for Canadian goods slumped in line with the housing crash and ensuing recession. While subsequent gains will likely fail to offset this five-year trough, revenue is expected to increase 2.4% in 2013, bringing the total to an estimated $ 2.7 billion. The 2013 gain will come on the back of renewed export activity and the domestic manufacturers' increased ability to compete in the global market on the basis of price. Through 2018, revenue is forecast to continue increasing.

World?s Largest Reefer Carrier Joins Forces With Trucking Industry?s Prominent Recruiting Site

World's Largest Reefer Carrier Joins Forces With Trucking Industry's Prominent Recruiting Site

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) March 08, 2013

Since 1920, C.R. England has partnered with their drivers to help them meet their immediate professional needs and shape their multi-faceted career paths driving long into the future. Now in 2013, with a national truck driver shortage challenging any company in need of qualified drivers, C.R. England has joined one of the industry's primary recruiting sources - TruckingUnlimited.com.

While C.R. England prides itself in offering among the best career opportunities in the industry, TruckingUnlimited.com has established itself as the one shop on-line truck stop for those seeking the best trucking jobs and their newly formed partnership is the latest example of how specialty job sites are revolutionizing recruiting. While the Internet offers unlimited exposure to today's generation of truck drivers, specialty job sites such as TruckingUnlimited.com immediately capture the niche target audience of truck drivers, rather than general job boards combining thousands of jobs and thousands of applicants into a sea of hit and miss. Trucking employers such as C.R. England recognize these job sites are becoming as essential to recruiting, as good drivers are to their business.

Operating as the world's largest refrigerated trucking company since 1920 and specializing in temperature sensitive freight such as fresh produce, meat, dairy products, beverages, and chemicals. C.R. England knows that retaining a team of top drivers is as important as maintaining their top of the line equipment. Offering services that include long haul truckload, short haul regional, Mexico, expedited priority rail service and tailor-made dedicated service, while maintaining a solid track record as one of the nation's leading carriers for over 90 years, C.R. England knows that investing in their drivers is what keeps their company running and ranked as number one.

Currently hiring Over-The-Road, Dedicated, Intermodal and Regional drivers and owner/operators to join their team in locations across the country, C.R. England offers such a multi-faceted career path, the company has opportunities for everyone from veteran drivers seeking owner/operation programs, to drivers seeking mentor/training options as well to paid training position for new CDL graduates without any experience at all.

Most important is what this company offers all of their drivers, differentiating themselves between companies simply hiring employees to fill a job and distinguishing themselves as team of individuals investing in each other, while building their own futures and careers. From excellent training, to the industry's most competitive pay and graduating pay scales, to driving top of-the-line equipment, to strong driver support programs, to mileage, safety and fuel saving bonus programs and safe driving awards, to vacation pay, to health benefits and insurance, to 401K retirement programs to the most liberal family rider policy in the industry, C.R England pretty much has everything that a truck driver could hope for. Not to mention that they are also a family oriented business going the extra mile to ensure regular and frequent home time, perhaps the single most important thing to today's generation of truck drivers.

Dyson Expands Forged Fork Lift Arm Business

Dyson Corp's 750-ton press operated by skilled craftsmen provide the largest and strongest forklift forks in the world.

Painesville, OH (PRWEB) March 14, 2013

The Dyson Corporation, a supplier of large diameter domestic fasteners and forgings, has expanded its fork arm manufacturing operations at its Painesville, Ohio facility.

Dyson produces large diameter bolts, screws, nuts, washers, rods, studs, pins, construction accessories, specialty fasteners and custom forgings and heavy duty lift truck forks.

The fully forged forks are used in heavy-duty material handling operations such as steelmaking, shipbuilding, and other industrial applications. The forks have a 25 to 180 ton lifting capacity and in numerous configurations including coil rams, marine, tapered shank, offset tapered shank, explosive environment and customer-specific designs.

"Dyson has been in the forklift arm manufacturing business since the beginning, having made the very first forklift arm for forklift truck manufacturer, Towmotor in the 1930's" stated Dustin Johnson, Sales Manager for The Dyson Corporation, "Today, our forklift arms are used in severe duty applications requiring the highest strength and durability. Our forklift arms are designed to lift between 25 and 180 tons and available in virtually any configuration the customer requires," he concluded.

Lester Sears, founder of The Towmotor Company of Cleveland, invented the forklift truck in 1933 to carry and stack heavy loads. By 1944, Towmotor was an industrial truck leader. Caterpillar Tractor Co. purchased Towmotor in 1965.

For more than 125 years, Dyson has specialized in large domestic forged bolts, nuts, socket head cap screws, lock nuts, and construction fasteners used in transportation infrastructure of bridges, railroads and waterways, the fossil fuel industries of mining and power generation, shipbuilding and nuclear power, and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supply chain.

About The Dyson Corporation

In 1884, Joseph Dyson founded The Dyson Corporation in Cleveland as a specialty forge shop. Mr. Dyson produced small forgings for various industries. Responding to customer demand, Mr. Dyson soon developed the capability to manufacture larger fasteners and forgings, as well as fork arms for the material handling industry.

Today, forgings made at the Painesville, Ohio plant range in size from one half to 10,000 pounds. Equipment includes a combination of hammers, mechanical and hydraulic presses, upsetters, benders, and state-of-the-art hot part formers with in-line heat-treating.

Wheel Tire Fitment Data Provider, SizeItUp Becomes The Largest Application Guide Provider.

Wheel Tire Fitment Data Provider, SizeItUp Becomes The Largest Application Guide Provider.

Size It Up

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 01, 2013

Sizeitup has reached over 20,000 vehicle applications for wheel and tire fitment data making them the largest application guide provider in the industry.

"We are always working towards becoming a better database solution provider," says founder of SizeItUp, Brian Inge. "That means always updating our fitment guide to include more applications."

Recently sizeitup also set a record after having included 140 different wheel brands into its database and becoming the single largest wheel brand data provider. The company is now taking a step further by integrating 20,000 vehicle applications for wheel and tire fitment data. From single fitments to staggered fitments, dually fitments, and lifted truck applications, Sizeitup has the largest and most accurate application guide on the market.

This is great news for small wheel and tire retailers, because they can integrate a reliable and accurate fitment database into their online stores. Otherwise, online wheel and tire stores would not have any means of communicating fitment information on their websites, and that would make day to day business really difficult for them. The fitment solution provided by sizeitup ensures that businesses do not have to spend time and money to develop this technology.

In the automotive industry, you can have one product that has thousands of part numbers inside of it, mapped to specific vehicle applications. The commercially available database solution offered by size it up is the reason many small wheel and tire businesses are able to operate today.

About SizeItUp:

Gentilini Motors and Rocky Ridge Team up? in Pink!

Gentilini Motors and Rocky Ridge Team up… in Pink!

Rocky Ridge Survivor

Woodbine, New Jersey (PRWEB) February 06, 2013

Gentilini Motors, a Chevrolet and Ford dealer in New Jersey, recently combined forces with Rocky Ridge Conversions to design the Rocky Ridge Survivor: the first lifted truck intended to raise awareness about breast cancer. Once this white-and-pink rugged vehicle sells, the dealership will proudly donate $ 1,000 to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research. Rocky Ridge will make an additional $ 500 donation.

The dealership's Dealer Principal, Paul Gentilini, is proud to be a part of the project: "…with all the charitable events and organizations that we are involved with throughout each year, we just couldn't pass on the opportunity to support breast cancer awareness, and what better way to do it than with a Rocky Ridge Lifted Truck!" Justin Candeloro, General Sales Manager, adds, "I've known a few breast cancer survivors over the years and these people have been some of the toughest, most resilient individuals I've ever met. That's why we set out to design a truck that represents the strength and resolve of the breast cancer awareness movement."

Rocky Ridge Lifted Trucks are highly-acclaimed and made precisely for the off-road enthusiast, flaunting six-inch Pro Comp suspension lift kits, color-keyed fender flares, custom 20-inch wheels, 35-inch off-road tires, off-road side steps, and more. Clearly, they're already among the toughest on the road – but this special model, in representation of breast cancer survivors, is even more so, boasting a chrome bull bar with breast cancer ribbon logos, a pink-on-white interior and exterior color scheme, and a whole lot of attitude.

Gentilini Motors was founded in 1955 and has since been the area's favorite family-owned and operated new and used car dealer in Cape May County, NJ. Known for its superior customer service, the dealership has received the Ford President's Award for Customer Service over fifteen years in a row. The company is paired up with, and an exclusive dealer of, Rocky Ridge Lifted Trucks.

New Case 521F Wheel Loader Achieves Advanced Performance, Fuel Efficiency with New Features and SCR Emissions Technology

New Case 521F Wheel Loader Achieves Advanced Performance, Fuel Efficiency with New Features and SCR Emissions Technology

Case Construction 521F wheel loader

Racine, Wisconsin (PRWEB) February 06, 2013

Case Construction Equipment today introduced the new Case 521F wheel loader, offering customers a 12 percent increase in fuel efficiency over the previous E Series model, while delivering faster acceleration and quicker cycle times. The machine is available in standard Z-bar, extended reach and tool-carrier models, and is the latest offering in the company's F Series wheel loader line, which boasts premium features and industry-leading performance, productivity and efficiency.

Case chose selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology for the 521F to meet Tier 4 Interim emissions standards based on the machine's application tasks and power demands. SCR results in lower temperatures in the exhaust system while optimizing combustion.

"SCR was the obvious choice for the 521F because a wheel loader's tasks are more variable, creating inconsistent engine loads and power demands," said Rob Marringa, brand marketing manager, Case Construction Equipment. "Rather than compromise power, we let the engine do what it does best — run at peak performance — and then use an after-treatment for emissions."

According to Marringa, the benefits of SCR technology are greater efficiency and reduced downtime because there's no heightened fuel burn or diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration. In addition, lower ambient temperatures means slower degradation of lubricating oil, which extends service intervals. Furthermore, fewer engine components means less crowding under the hood and easier access to service points. Operators also will experience a faster throttle response and cleaner emissions by avoiding recirculation equipment utilizing cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) and DPFs.

"At Case, we're committed to matching the technology with the task, and we believe that SCR technology for our F Series wheel loaders is the simplest, most powerful and efficient solution," Marringa said.

Improved performance and versatility enhance productivity

The new 521F wheel loader offers optional heavy-duty axles, enabling it to perform more tasks such as operating in scrap yards or recycling centers. These axles, with auto-locking front and open rear differentials, have the same design as the larger F series wheel loader axles, including metal face seals and sintered bronze brake linings. They offer outstanding traction in all conditions, especially in non-compacted surfaces like gravel, and help reduce tire wear when working on hard surfaces.

"The heavy-duty axles have superior sealing capability and longer service lives, improving owner and operator costs," Marringa said. "In addition, they can accept higher load capacities, allowing operators to configure the unit with solid, foam-filled or chain-wrapped tires."

On a 50-meter loading and dumping cycle, Case estimates the 521F wheel loader can make up to 56 cycles per hour, moving up to 144 yd3 (110 m3) or 212 tons of material per hour.

Advanced instruments and cab improve machine and operator effectiveness

The new advanced instrument cluster (AIC) on the 521F wheel loader has four operating modes, allowing operators and service technicians full visibility and control of basic job functions, such as diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) level and fuel efficiency, as well as protective controls that can help eliminate costly repairs.

"Auto Idle is a fuel-saving feature that allows for multiple idle rates, thereby reducing fuel consumption while operators are waiting for the next truck to load or task to be completed," said Marringa. "As an additional benefit to the Case wheel loader customer, Automatic Machine Protection recognizes a critical problem with the hydraulics, engine or transmission, and shuts down the engine as soon as the machine stops moving."

The Case 521F wheel loader delivers class-leading comfort and visibility and new features to improve operator effectiveness. Case's Quiet Cab boasts the largest cab in the industry, has a 70.8 decibel rating, and supplies cleaner air with a dual air filtration system. It also provides a more comfortable ride with an optional heated air ride seat, and ergonomically positioned controls that ensure a long day in the cab won't reduce productivity.

"The 521F wheel loader has new options such as joystick steering, a rear view camera and heated side mirrors that allow for precise control and visibility in tough conditions such as snow plowing and truck loading," Marringa said.

Case's floor-to-ceiling windows and improved lighting system continue to provide excellent visibility, from the cutting edge of a bucket to the tip of a fork.

More selection, larger attachments

The 521F wheel loader can handle heavier and much larger buckets thanks to the Case coupler system that pulls the attachment closer to the machine, providing significant breakout. The coupler is compatible with both JRB and ACS attachments. Also, the addition of over 250 new buckets, including light material buckets, rotary brooms and forks, and 4-in-1 buckets, means the 521F wheel loader offers even more solutions for a wide range of tasks. The offering includes Case SmartFitTM bucket tooth systems. The SmartFit system provides stronger, more durable teeth and adapters, and hammerless reusable locking pins to improve digging performance.

The Case 521F wheel loader features a 4.5-liter Tier 4 Interim-certified Case engine that delivers up to 131 gross hp (98 kW). Classified as a 2.1 yd3 (1.61 m3) wheel loader, the Case 521F has an operating weight of 22,856 lb (10 367 kg).
