More Businesses are Shopping for Used Forklifts Online

More Businesses are Shopping for Used Forklifts Online

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 25, 2013

Forrester Research Inc. and Internet Retailer say they expect more than half their customers to be buying online in three years. ¹ Forrester Research Inc. also predicts the level of e-commerce to grow by 15% over last year to total $ 559 billion in B2B transactions.² This change reflects the machinery sector with additional upward growth of 14.6% from September of 2012 to 2013.³

These reports have reflected in our online used forklift sales at Repolift. Although new forklifts are a viable option for most businesses, we feel that there a good reason to consider used forklifts.

Ahh, that new forklift smell. It's almost slightly like a warm summer sunset at Coco Beach. If anything it should be made into a scented candle so that you can enjoy not only at work, but at home.

But that's not really true is it?

There is no new forklift smell, and new or used they all pretty much smell the same. Like hard work and productivity which is what they are by nature, all about.

Thus since unlike a car, there is no new smell there really isn't any justifiable reason to purchase a new one, and here are five reasons why you shouldn't.

1) Depreciation: Forklifts depreciate every year, but the biggest slices of value come off in the first two to three years of its life. A two-year-old forklift that's been well treated will still give you years of service for thousands less.

2) Choice: There is a used forklift out there for everyone While a new forklift will give you the option to choose the specifications that you want, there are so many pre-owned forklifts in our inventory that if you contact us, you will not only find the one you want, but also get way more machine for your money.

3) Maintenance: Now some people voice some concern regarding the cost of maintaining a pre-owned forklift. They prefer buying new forklifts which include service and maintenance plans. Remember that if you buy a pre-owned forklift with Repolift we stand by our products and offer support, just like a new forklift.

4) Dependability: Forklifts are more reliable than ever. Let's do some plain talking here. Forklifts are better now than they were a few decades ago. Because of advancements within the industry you don't have to pay top dollar for a fully equipped forklift. One of our machines will be able to give you all that you need combined with a long lifespan.

5) The Internet is Awesome: Because of our ability to show you our inventory online and our exceeding dedication to customer service you can spend far less time shopping around and with a few clicks, find the forklift you need. There is also the benefit of financing options. This helps you to get into your forklift today and spread your payments out allowing you to manage your personal bank book, which a dealer of new forklifts may not be able to provide.

You have to do what's best for you and your bottom line. Mostly though when you look around at the options of a new forklift versus a used one, the only difference is the new forklift smell, which doesn't actually exist.

By contacting Repolift, you can save money, get the forklift you want and then have enough left over for any smell you want.

Repolift is a leading used forklift dealer that offers an inventory over 1,500 units to dealers and end users. Since 2003, they have provided quality forklifts at wholesale prices to customers across North America and countries abroad. With over 40 years of trade experience in the material handling, service and sales industries, they meet the needs of a small businesses, even entire fleet replacements. Two locations are available to serve both the United States and Canada.

Two new websites expand services of the U.S. Forklift Network to provide industry-wide consumers with best deals on new and used forklifts and forklift rentals

Two new websites expand services of the U.S. Forklift Network to provide industry-wide consumers with best deals on new and used forklifts and forklift rentals

ForkliftHQ.com

Moorestown, NJ (PRWEB) January 14, 2014

In an ongoing attempt to find the best forklift deals for its visitors, the US Forklift Network just launched two new websites targeting the consumer needs of forklift users nationwide, adding another dimension to the already popular ForkliftArticles.com site that just celebrated its first anniversary. The new websites, ForkliftDealers.com and ForkliftHQ.com add two new levels of service to the comprehensive forklift product information network.

According to a company spokesperson, "each of the U.S. Forklift Network sites caters to a special need within the forklift community. Our goal is to cover every aspect of the industry of interest to consumers in order to ensure that they are informed of the rapid changes taking place in product efficiency, safety and productivity and giving them access to the latest information on product development to help them make decisions about the best fit for their unique material handling needs." ForkliftHQ.com focuses on the best deals on new and used forklifts, forklift rentals and forklift leases. ForkliftDealers.com is a well-organized annotated directory of forklift dealers in targeted locations which simplifies a buyer's search according to categories such as special features, brands and customer service.

As with all the U.S. Forklift Network sites, the new releases are state of the art, user friendly, highly professional and rely on a team of forklift professionals to keep them current, fresh and accurate. The site's popularity is partly attributed to the essential role forklifts play in the world economy. In fact, one of the most popular articles on the Network's charter site, ForkliftArticles.com, concerned the critical role forklifts play in the movement of products from manufacturer to distributor to consumer because of e-commerce. Other factors contributing to its success is the quality and scope of the information it provides.

Based on the continuing popularity and growth of the U.S. Forklift Network of websites, we can expect more from them in 2014. Meanwhile, anyone with even the slightest interest in the forklift industry should take a look at ForkliftHQ.com and ForkliftDealers.com.

Bielat Santore & Company's "Who's Who in the Restaurant Industry"

Bielat Santore & Company's "Who's Who in the Restaurant Industry"

the BAR ROOM + kitchen, Deal NJ

Deal, NJ (PRWEB) February 11, 2014

A friendly little bar where everybody knows your name was exactly what JJ Vacchiano envisioned when he opened The Bar Room & Kitchen in Deal, New Jersey last month. Taking the place of former bar Otto's Bar & Grill, the restaurant gives local residents a place to unwind after work with music, good food and drinks. The only thing missing from the neighboring eatery is Sam Malone serving beers while chatting with the customers but Vacchiano has already claimed that role.

Living at the Jersey Shore his whole life, Vacchiano was a bartender at the Allenhurst Beach Club before it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. He then decided to pursue his lifelong dream of owning his own bar. "I always wanted to do something small and intimate like this," said Vacchiano. "I wanted this area and being in Deal we can pull our customers from surrounding towns." Before opening its doors, much of the restaurant was remodeled to get the look and feel that Vacchiano had in mind including the addition of a kitchen. "I drew a picture of how I wanted everything to look like and it turned out exactly like the picture," said Vacchiano. "It is kind of like the Cheers theme. No one is afraid to come here by themselves."

Only being open for a short time, The Bar Room & Kitchen is already seeing a lot of customers from all over the area including college students. "I'm getting a lot of feedback and people from around the neighborhood are coming here," said Vacchiano. "Everyone is welcome and we have fun with it. I want everyone to be comfortable." Not only is the warm atmosphere attracting a crowd, but also the reasonable priced food and drink options are a plus. "I wanted to have happy hour prices all the time," said Vacchiano. "The only way to make that work was to have people in here all day so we extended hours. I've gotten critiqued for being too cheap in prices."

Along with their fresh and homemade menu selections, guests can also enjoy a variety of music playing on the jukebox throughout the day and watch the game from one of their several flat screen televisions. "I'm hoping to get the word out," said Vacchiano. "There's nothing like this around here." Vacchiano was inspired by many Hoboken and Manhattan bars, incorporating different parts into the restaurant. "In 2014, there's too many options and there is no go-to place," said Vacchiano. "The Bar Room & Kitchen is a good neighborhood joint and I would not have been able to do it without my family and friends."

The Bar Room & Kitchen is located on Norwood Avenue in Deal, New Jersey. Open every day from 12:00pm until 12:00am, customers can choose from an extensive menu with frequent food and drink specials. Visit their website for more information http://www.thebarroomandkitchen.com/# or call 732.686.1295.

Guarding - Safety by Design, Meeting OSHA Standards

Safety is a big concern at Macy Industries, Inc. and Macy believes every industry needs to protect their employees. A great way to do this is through the use of guarding and railing. OSHA sets very strict standards for safety. To ensure the customer will meet OSHA requirements, Macy offers many different forms of guarding and railing. This type of platform can also have an adjustable railing attached that can be put down for machine access and up when the machine is in use.

Railings - Help Prevent Accidents

Railing can be used to protect your employees, machinery, and property from accidents involving forklifts, sweepers, or other moving facility equipment. This can be very beneficial for dangerous, expensive, or crucial equipment. Railing is perfect for showing employees what distance is too close to approach a machine. Not only can railing be used inside facilities, but it can be used on rooftops as well. This is ideal for rooftop units that are accessed on a regular basis. The railing can clearly define unsafe areas for the employees.

Macy Industries, Inc. prides itself at offering a unique customized product and level of customer service. A highly skilled and trained Macy representative is available to answer metal fabrication safety questions today.

New York Personal Injury Lawyer Says Stagehands for Country Music Singer Luke Bryan Are Lucky Injuries Not More Severe

New York Personal Injury Lawyer Says Stagehands for Country Music Singer Luke Bryan Are Lucky Injuries Not More Severe

The Perecman Firm

New York, New York (PRWEB) January 21, 2014

Four stagehands were slightly injured when part of the stage collapsed after a concert by country music singer Luke Bryan. According to NBC News (1.17.14), the stage crew was dismantling the stage after a concert on The Ohio State University campus when a portion of it fell over. It was fortunate that the workers were not injured more seriously, said Attorney at Law David Perecman, founder of The Perecman Firm.

Large video screens were being removed from the Schottenstein Center stage by a forklift that accidentally bumped the structure. Following the collision, two sections of the stage collapsed, and the workers fell through to the floor. Then large pieces of equipment fell on them, NBC News reported.

"Accidents at work happen, and they can cause serious, even fatal, injuries," said personal injury lawyer Perecman. "The dangers associated with use of lift trucks are often underestimated."

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has recognized many dangers associated with forklifts. Employers and employees are expected to know the OSHA safety standards and follow these guidelines to ensure worker safety. There are many specific regulations and rules that relate to operator training and general machine operation.

The forklift may not have been the cause of the accident, reported NBC News. It was said by several workers that mistakes were made before the accident. No concertgoers were in the Center at the time of the accident.

The incident forced Bryan to reschedule a concert in Lexington, Kentucky. His top songs include, "All My Friends Say," "Do I," and "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)."

"Adequate training on the safe use of forklifts can help prevent many accidents," said Perecman.

Forklift Safety Tips for 2014, Forklift Certification Company Urges Safety as Top Priority

Forklift Safety Tips for 2014, Forklift Certification Company Urges Safety as Top Priority

Anaheim, CA (PRWEB) February 06, 2014

Remembering forklift safety in the workplace is not only essential for OSHA compliance but it's the only way to minimize warehouse injuries and avoid fatalities. This year, Donna Fauscette, managing director of the Southern California-based A-1 Forklift Certification, is encouraging companies to "get back to basics" to make sure that forklift operators make it home safely, each and every day.

"No employer, let alone a family member, should have to experience the loss or injury of an employee or loved one because of one false move when operating a forklift," Fauscette says. "Even the most experienced power industrial truck operators (PITOs) are at risk. The more 'expert' we think we are at a task, the easier it is for us to grow complacent and forget the ever-important basics."

Back-to-Basic Forklift Safety Tips

A commitment to working "Safe by Choice, not by Chance" is a core value A-1 Forklift reinforces at every opportunity. Passionate about safety both on and off the clock, Fauscette says A-1 Forklift "works with companies seeking onsite forklift training because they're required by OSHA to do so. However, our goal at A-1 is to exceed OSHA requirements by emphasizing safety as a way of life—a mindset."

To help employers and PITOs continue to stay safe and avoid injuries, Fauscette recommends getting back to these basics:

Remember the purpose of a forklift. Remembering that a forklift is designed solely to push, pull, stack and tier materials is key. Using a forklift for any other purpose—such as lifting another vehicle or transporting an employee who is not inside a safety cage can mean hazardous even fatal consequences.

Look where you're going. As with driving a regular vehicle, it's critical that forklift operators remember to look in the direction in which he or she is driving, especially when the PITO is driving in reverse with the load trailing. Never depend solely on your back-up mirrors but physically twist from the waist while keeping your eyes ahead of your wheels. Always check your surroundings, moving your eyes from front to rear; conditions change continually—people, stationary objects and traffic may suddenly appear.

Slow down. "This may sound like a no-brainer but on busy days, it's natural for employees to want to work faster," Fauscette says. Driving too quickly on a forklift makes it easier for a driver to lose control by changing the center of gravity of the forklift. PITOs should remain in the moment at all times and remember to drive at the safe operating speed.

Check for maintenance. Having a forklift that has a failing tire or hydraulic leaks can pose risks and other vehicle discrepancies when we least expect it. Ensure that PITOs to check their forklifts at the beginning of every shift. This is not only an OSHA requirement but essential for preventative maintenance. Check out this video to know what to look for in the pre-trip inspection: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68fSwKWqpyg.

Remember the fulcrum principle. PITOs should always remain conscious of how much weight their forklifts can hold and how high the mast will rise—these are listed on the data plate, placed on the forklift by the manufacturer. An oversight in this area can not only cost a company thousands of dollars in damaged, mishandled material but the effects can be deadly if the driver forgets this principle and tries to carry a load that's too heavy for his or her machine.

Talk Safety, All the Time

In addition, Fauscette urges companies to encourage the safety dialog in all staff meetings and beyond. "If you haven't already, ask your employee communications department to strategize how you can reinforce safety messages throughout the day," she says. "Marketing materials can serve as visual reminders when strategically placed in lunchrooms, locker rooms or even digitally through email or social media."

Fauscette adds: "All of these tips can help lead to a successful and safe year. Your company will keep incident reports to a minimum, reduce costs brought on from damaged materials and most important—get your employees home safe to their families every day."

HarQen's Voice Advantage Bridges the Digital Divide with Screening and Sourcing Options for Internet-Free Interviews

HarQen's Voice Advantage Bridges the Digital Divide with Screening and Sourcing Options for Internet-Free Interviews

Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) October 09, 2013

HarQen, an industry leader in interview and recruitment technology, has released the latest update to Voice Advantage. In addition to allowing candidates to interview utilizing the latest mobile devices and technology, Voice Advantage will now collect interviews from candidates lacking an internet connection.

"This changes the recruiting landscape in some important ways. Current talent pools for industries like light industrial, trucking, commercial, construction, and skilled trades include qualified people with limited access to the internet. Shoehorning them into existing digital processes is frustrating for recruiters and uncomfortable, bordering on inaccessible, for candidates. We solve both those problems," said Ane Ohm, HarQen's President. "This opens things to anyone with a phone and extends the convenience of recruitment technology beyond the web."

Once a candidate enters Voice Advantage, recruiters can leverage the full spectrum of online review and collaboration tools to make finding the best candidates efficient and easy.

In addition to making access for candidates easier, this update addresses a lot of challenges in finding great job candidates. "Much investment in HR technology right now is around sourcing candidates. How can I find more people on LinkedIn and Facebook and Twitter? The problem is all those sourcing paths begin and end with the internet. If you need to find or screen candidates who are not tied to the web, you are stuck," said Kevin Lindbergh, Director of Strategic Accounts at HarQen.

Any organization using Voice Advantage can have a recruitment campaign set up to accept Internet-Free candidates. Voice Advantage generates a toll free phone number for that campaign, and that number can be easily placed in a newspaper, on a bus, or a billboard. "Eliminating the limitation of internet access will make it easier to source candidates," Lindbergh added.

Internet-Free functionality joins Voice Advantage's existing video and audio interview tools, making it the most comprehensive interviewing suite on the market, allowing employers to engage a wider candidate pool than ever before.

About HarQen:

HarQen was founded in 2007 and powers the award-winning Voice Advantage tool for video and phone interviews. Voice Advantage's simple, mobile-friendly web interface allows job seekers to record interview responses at their convenience and allows recruiters to review candidates 10x faster, while eliminating scheduling hassles and courtesy interview headaches.

Creating Safeguards in the Workplace is Effortless with SafetyTac Hazard Tape Now Offered through Creative Safety Supply

Creating Safeguards in the Workplace is Effortless with SafetyTac Hazard Tape Now Offered through Creative Safety Supply

SafetyTac Hazard Tape

Lake Oswego, OR (PRWEB) December 10, 2013

Most industrial facilities require chemicals and other hazardous materials for use in their daily production and janitorial duties. Barrels and containers of such material are typically stored in an area that is quarantined away from the hustle and bustle of forklifts and foot traffic. To safeguard against someone unfamiliar with an area that is storage for hazardous material, SafetyTac Hazard Tape, now offered through Creative Safety Supply, can be applied that will clearly identify the space as a restrictive area.

The visual "Hazard" striping will alert workers where to be cautious. Safeguarding employees is a major concern of business owners. An unnecessary accident involving chemicals can cause bodily harm and even death which costs a business thousands of dollars in comprehensive insurance and lawsuits. SafetyTac Hazard tape is the perfect solutions that requires little effort and time to create a safer work environment.

The tape is available in stripes of yellow on black, white on black, red on white, and green on white. The 100 foot tapes come in a variety of widths from 2 inches to 6 inches and are made in the USA. The tape is 100% smear and scuff resistant due to the thinner profile and 2-stage tapered edges. Installation is simple and easy with the peel-n-stick application that is backed by a 1-year warranty. The tape is made out of a powerful material and extra strong adhesive that can handle heavy forklift and truck traffic, making it suitable for most any industrial facility.

A plant supervisor commented, "When it comes to safeguarding our employees, nothing can be more affordable and easy than SafetyTac Hazard tape."

For more information about SafetyTac Hazard Tape, please visit Creative Safety Supply or call toll-free (866)777-1360 to speak with a professional representative.
