Jungheinrich Revolutionizes Its Ability to Deliver Spare Parts to U.S. Customers

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) October 5, 2006

The Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp. has announced a move of its spare parts distribution department to a state-of-the-art new 17,000 sq. ft. warehouse, also in Richmond, to ensure its ability to provide its U.S. customers with express delivery of parts. The company's investment of $ 1 million in an inventory of 8,000 spare parts at the site demonstrates its commitment to establish a truly efficient parts network in the U.S. Jungheinrich will now be able to guarantee it can deliver overnight, anywhere in the U.S., all parts stocked at the new warehouse.

The company's motives for undertaking the warehouse expansion are clear. Notes Michael Hendriksz, Jungheinrich's Director of Aftersales, "We're already the technological leader in Europe, but to get a foothold in the U.S. market, we need to be better than the competition. By establishing a highly efficient "over-capacity" warehouse, we can ensure that we stock 95% of all parts that go into the trucks we sell here. This move will put to rest any concerns potential customers might have about parts scarcity from a European-based company."

Adds Hendriksz, "It's also important to mention we've introduced an express delivery program for the relatively small quantity of parts shipped from Germany. We'll guarantee to deliver those anywhere in the U.S. within 48 hours." The key to this capability is Jungheinrich's special arrangement with Federal Express that allows all shipped items to be pre-cleared with Customs the moment they leave the airport in Frankfurt. When the plane lands in Memphis or Newark, packages are delivered directly by FedEx to the dealer, or in some cases to the end user, bypassing Richmond.

The strategic development of Jungheinrich's new warehousing concept was undertaken in conjunction with its parent company in Germany, where a centrally-controlled system of parts distribution has been efficiently at work for years. It was that high level of performance in Europe that Richmond wanted to match in its U.S. warehouse operations.

States Phil Keay, Manager of Jungheinrich's Parts and Service Support, about the new warehouse in Richmond, "We designed it for maximum efficiency. For example, all high-usage parts are located within 30 ft. of the packing stations, with packing machinery ergonomically located above the packing tables. Parts are swiftly picked, boxed up and moved along to the freight terminals. The whole process takes less than 20 minutes, from order placement to initiation of delivery."

Notes Michael Hendriksz, "We were in cramped quarters before, but the warehouse area has now been increased by at least a factor of five." He reveals that concurrent to the warehouse move, the company headquarters are moving into new corporate facilities about three times the size of those they presently occupy. The spare parts warehouse move has been just the first phase of a general corporate relocation to a new site in Richmond.

Besides its storage function, the new warehouse will also contain some manufacturing activity, including production of hydraulic hoses, hose fittings and lift chains. Explains Keay, "We'll manufacture hoses here, because they have a limited shelf life and demand a first-in first-out system. Also, since hoses and lift chains are dimension-wise specific to each vehicle model, it's simply easier for us to produce them here on demand. We'll also manufacture our exclusive press-on high-pressure hose fittings here for use on all our new trucks."

For more information about Jungheinrich's parts warehouse, contact Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp., 5701 Eastport Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23231. Call 804-737-6084, Fax 804-737-6136. Or, visit the website at www.jungheinrich-us.com.

Special Electric Forklifts Drive Sales Growth

Big Joe Vacuum Furnace Forklift

Lombard, IL (PRWEB) August 1, 2010

A special variation of the Big Joe PDM straddle stacker which is built in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, was delivered last week. Unique to the vehicle is a mechanism designed to place loads far inside vacuum furnaces which often cost in excess of $ 500,000. Vacuum furnaces are used to heat metals to very high temperatures and carry out processes such as brazing, sintering, and heat treatment with high consistency and low contamination. Since this type of furnace can be subject to damage during loading and unloading, precision material handling is required.

To provide highly reliable load placement, the Big Joe forklift utilizes an electric control the company calls "Dial-a-speed", which allows an operator to accurately set the forward and reverse speed of the lift truck from full motion to as little as a snail's pace. Complimenting this electric drive control is a v-groove wheel assembly that locks in lateral movement during transit to ensure proper load placement. This amount of precision is necessary because vacuum furnaces are designed as long tubular chambers that are ringed with delicate heating elements which can be compromised or destroyed by even a slight misplacement of a workload.

Growth provided by delivering special material handling solutions like this is also helping the company grow in other areas of their business. Beginning with the recent introduction of two new units, the WPT45 electric pallet truck and the PDS straddle stacker, Big Lift is in the process of launching a new line-up of electric powered forklifts using the latest AC power technologies. "Our capability to provide forklifts designed for specialized tasks strengthens our ability to also develop new products that compete in volume categories, which is important in this economy," says Bill Pedriana Director of Sales at Big Lift. "While many of our competitors are scaling back production of standard products, we are using our skills in this area to continue to innovate and grow." Next month Big Lift will begin featuring several special application lift trucks on their company website at http://www.bigjoeforklifts.com

The Big Joe brand of electric forklifts is well known for their easy to use and maintain walk behind designs. Managed by Big Lift LLC from corporate offices in Lombard, Illinois, the Big Joe product line is currently one of the fastest growing in the material handling industry. Along with partner EP of China, Big Lift is distributed by a network of distributors that includes many of the largest forklift dealerships in North America.

New High Production, Affordable Dual-Robot Finishing Cell Introduced by System Builder Acme Manufacturing Company

New High Production, Affordable Dual-Robot Finishing Cell Introduced by System Builder Acme Manufacturing Company

Auburn Hills, MI (PRWEB) October 7, 2010

Acme Manufacturing Company has introduced a new high production dual-robotic finishing cell for unattended polishing, grinding, deburring, or buffing of parts weighing up to five lbs. each. Optimized robotic cycles achieved by Acme cells routinely reduce finishing media usage by 80% which significantly reduces cost per part. Process repeatability is another benefit.

Two inverted Fanuc M10iC 10kg compact robots automatically pick up parts from the pallet loading system and bring them to four Acme force-controlled finishing heads equipped for programmable speed and compliance. The dual-robot configuration in the Model TR-4 cell allows production finishing applications of up to 1000 parts per hour, with equipment payback in one year or less.

The robots use end-of-arm pneumatic tooling to grip the parts. The cell includes a part re-grip station (so the robotic arm can present all surfaces to the finishing media), and two exit conveyors for the finished parts. Other features include vision system capability, remote diagnostics, and off-line CAD-to-Path Capability. Quick setup and part changeover are inherent in the Acme design.

A full cell enclosure, with lighting and fork-truck slots, has integrated sound and dust containment to confine airborne polishing and grinding particles to protect the plant environment. All Acme cells are built to RIA and CE specifications.

Acme employs decades of finishing experience, and has developed its "polisher friendly" finishing software and controls to make it simple for users to achieve continuous, uninterrupted production with minimum training and setup.

With over 850 robotic finishing cells operating around the world in 35 countries, Acme has amassed an industry-leading knowledge base related to finishing media, process and automation technology. Users include major medical implant manufacturers and aerospace component producers, as well as leading companies in the plumbing components, builders' hardware, cookware, automotive aftermarket, hydraulic cylinder, bar, tube and other industries.

Acme has a singular focus on designing and building innovative engineered finishing systems for buffing, polishing, grinding, centerless grinding, deburring and superfinishing. Acme Manufacturing Company is ISO 9001:2008 certified, and is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2010. Headquarters is in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Jungheinrich Provides Free Website Tool to Compare Total Cost of Ownership of Various Truck Technologies

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) September 7, 2007

To help prospective customers better see the appreciable cost advantages of owning an AC electric truck over a vehicle based on an IC engine (LPG/Diesel) or DC electric technology, the Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corporation is now making available a free, simple-to-use tool for calculating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) associated with various kinds of forklift over a five year period. Anyone can explore use of this TCO calculator by going to www.lift-truck-cost-tool.com.

The tool considers average recent costs for maintenance and batteries, as well as current standard costs for electricity and fuel, by state. Just three simple steps are required by the process to arrive at a cost comparison between truck technologies, and the overall savings to be realized with AC. To use the calculator, you simply gather and key-in information about the following:

1.    Your operation, including number of trucks in your fleet, effective number of hours they run per shift, number of shifts per day, and number of working days per year. For the last item, the tool offers a default figure of 250 hours.

2.    Purchase price, monthly maintenance cost, battery price and charger price for the Jungheinrich truck you're interested in versus another technology you're either looking at or already own. If you do not know these costs, the tool provides default values to complete the calculation.

3.    For DC trucks, the number of batteries necessary per truck, number of charges needed, charger prices, and battery price (default figure available). For IC trucks, the tool asks for fuel cost per bottle or tank, and hours of operation per bottle or tank.

Jungheinrich's calculator will quickly demonstrate the marked cost advantage of owning and operating AC counterbalanced lift trucks. Note, however, that since fuel and electricity costs are subject to change at any time as economic conditions vary, the user is encouraged to verify local and current prices for a more accurate analysis.

In general, Jungheinrich's proprietary AC electric technology offers a user many advantages, including a performance level equal to or better than an IC truck, the ability for use in both indoor and outdoor operation, enclosed motors and controllers for protection from particulate matter, energy reclamation during braking, the potential of up to two shifts work from a single battery charge, absence of toxic or dangerous emissions, and high reliability. Another potential advantage is the availability in certain states, (such as California and Texas) of incentive funds to encourage conversion to electric trucks.

The cost data analysis the website tool offers will prove to be invaluable in your comparative shopping program, and can help justify a purchase decision to management. Also available on the website cited above is an easy-to-read but comprehensive white paper that discusses the three leading forklift truck technologies and aspects of Total Cost of Ownership for each, including environmental issues. In addition, the site provides contact information for Jungheinrich dealers in your area.

To use the tool go to: www.lift-truck-cost-tool.com. For further information about the company's vehicles, contact Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp., 5601 Eastport Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23231. Call 804-737-7400. Fax: 804-737-7467. Or, visit the website at www.jungheinrich-us.com.

Galfand Berger Wins Important Case for Injured Workers in Pennsylvania

Galfand Berger Wins Important Case for Injured Workers in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia, Penn. (PRWEB) March 1, 2010

In an important victory for injured workers in Pennsylvania, attorney Peter Patton Philadelphia personal injury attorneys from Galfand Berger prevailed in a recent Superior Court decision, which determined that Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations did not bar an injured worker's claim that the forklift -- which struck him -- was unsafely designed.

In the case, Kiak v. Crown Equipment Corp. (2010 Pa Super 13), the plaintiff suffered a serious leg injury when a forklift, coasting in reverse, struck him in a warehouse. The forklift did not beep when coasting in reverse and, without this safety feature, the plaintiff did not hear the approaching forklift truck. He suffered debilitating injuries.

The manufacturer of the forklift argued that federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations barred or pre-empted the plaintiff's claim under state law. The trial court agreed and granted summary judgment to the manufacturer. By granting summary judgment, the trial court prevented the claim from going to trial.

However, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, in a unanimous, en banc, opinion, agreed with Mr. Patton's argument that OSHA regulations did not bar the plaintiff's claim that the forklift was unsafely designed.

"If it had been upheld, the lower court decision in this case would have restricted the rights of workers to recover for on-the-job injuries caused by defective forklifts," explained Patton. "As a result of our ability to persuade the Superior Court to overturn the trial court, however, our injured client will now have his day in court. Across this state, our victory in this case is a win for other workers injured by equipment that is lacking needed warning devices."

Galfand Berger has been championing the rights of injured workers, consumers and individuals since 1947. Harry Galfand and Albert Gerber founded the firm more than 60 years ago with one goal: to secure full and just compensation for people who have suffered injustices and injuries. Galfand Berger remains true to that dedicated mission today, with its team of medical malpractice attorneys, workers compensation attorneys and car accident attorneys.

Capital Solutions Announces A Cash Surplus For 2009 To Aid The Struggling Commercial Truck Financing Market

Capital Solutions - Commercial Truck Financing

Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) December 3, 2009

Capital Solutions and it's investors have announced a cash surplus making available much needed financing to truckers and others in the commercial truck financing arena. This, in spite of a tightening credit market brought on by the shrinking economy. For truckers and other operators that haven't been able to secure financing through more traditional sources due to personal credit problems can find relief with Capital Solutions large funding capacity.

For purchasers in need of semi truck financing, Capital Solutions can use creative tools such as current revenue streams, potential partnerships with trucking companies, and asset allocation to provide much needed financing for truckers. For those purchasers in need of dump truck financing and other related assets in the aggregate hauling and construction industries, Capital Solutions can provide financing for trucks as well as other heavy equipment.

As a self funded truck and equipment financing company, Capital Solutions and it's small network of private investors have been immune to the effects of the credit crunch. With banks pulling out of much of the commercial market in general, many independent truck financing companies have been forced to close down. Capital Solutions has remained intact, building up reserves of cash. This liquidity enables the twelve year old company to continue to fund these transactions and grow their portfolio.

This is great news for everyone connected to the trucking industry. Truck dealers are experiencing the slowest time in decades. With Capital Solutions self funded program and cash cushion they will be able to increase their sales by making financing more available to their customers.

Services that cater to the trucking industry will also see a much needed shot in the arm. Insurance companies, truck maintenance, truck stops, etc are just some of the business that will benefit by this liquidity.

Founded in 1997 Capital Solutions specializes in financing commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment for people with less than perfect credit. Over the past twelve years Capital Solutions has grown to service all fifty states. As a self funded financing company Capital Solutions with its investors are poised for growth with plans of expansion into the construction equipment and forestry markets.

Voice123.com has Unveiled the Voice123 SmartCast Technology

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 19, 2006 -

Voice123 (http://voice123.com), the largest voice over marketplace where voice over talents promote their voice services and voice talent seekers find the best voices for their projects, recently developed and implemented the state-of-the-art Voice123 SmartCast system, looking to improve the matching process between projects and voice talents.

Voice123 SmartCast was created to help voice seekers find the most suitable voice over artists for any type of voice over project they create in Voice123. After the project is submitted and broadcasted through the Voice123 system, Voice123 SmartCast automatically sorts through thousands of professional voiceover actors and voice producers to find the talents who are most likely to be the best for that specific voice over project.

The patent-pending Voice123 SmartCast technology takes into account several factors from both the projects and the talents to effectively make a match. Once suited voiceover actors are invited to participate in a particular project, talents start sending their voice auditions to the voice seeker through the same Voice123 (http://voice123.com) system. The voice seeker then sorts through these replies and selects the voice he or she wants to work with.

The Voice123 SmartCast system was created to improve the experience of both voice-over talents and voice talent seekers. Voice123 says that this technology is so effective that they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee when voice seekers enable Voice123 SmartCast to help them find and hire professional voice over actors.

We have seen that Voice123 has been very active in terms of developing new features, improving their services, and reinventing their business. This development is another move on the part of Voice123 to maintain their leading position in the voice-over market.

Deroche Canvas Looks to Cover the Long-Haul Trucking Industry in Tarps

Belvidere, NJ (PRWEB) August 2, 2006

Dan Deroche, president and owner of Deroche Canvas, Inc., announced the unveiling today of his company's new website at www.DerocheCanvas.com. Specialists in the manufacturing of heavy-duty truck tarps, cargo control items, rubber bungee cords, and replacement roll system parts, Deroche Canvas looks to use its website to develop trucking clientele outside the New Jersey tri-state area, which it has been serving for several years now, through extremely competitive pricing, time sensitive delivery, and exceptional customer service.

"Deroche Canvas offers unmatched customer service and the ability to respond to orders very quickly. Due to the nature of the long-haul trucking industry, time is critical in filling orders for the tarps that the customer orders," said Deroche. He added, "We also offer our products at prices that are more competitive than other tarp manufacturers."

The new website contains detailed product specifications along with an extensive photo gallery of tarps on display and in use on vehicles. Deroche Canvas also offers an on-line ordering shopping cart, and its contact page contains an online form that promises a prompt response to all inquiries.

Priding itself on offering the highest quality tarps in the transportation industry, Deroche has rapidly become an industry leader and is poised to develop an even greater market share. Speaking of its improved presence on the World Wide Web, Dan Deroche said, "The Internet will allow us to reach customers and markets outside of our own tri-state market. Potential customers who are unaware of our service and products can find us through web searches and have the ability to purchase our products via the website. We feel that to have a presence on the Internet in today's changing marketplace is essential to remain competitive."

Not satisfied with just being a success in the greater New Jersey tri-state area, President Deroche looks ahead with optimism to the future of his company in the industrial tarp business. "The future holds a wide variety of areas which we hope to get involved in, including manufacturing electric tarp systems for dump trucks and open top trailers. We are also looking to expand our tarp repair capabilities."

Access Management Firm Traka Secures Second Queen's Award

(PRWEB) June 25, 2008

A Buckinghamshire-based company that received the Queen's Award four years ago for its innovative technology, has now won the UK's most prestigious business award again, this time for its international sales.

Traka plc, has won The Queen's Award for Enterprise - International Trade 2008, in recognition of its commercial success and substantial growth in overseas earnings.

Today, 50 per cent of Traka's annual turnover comes from overseas, the company selling its intelligent access management systems to over 22 countries worldwide, to customers as diverse as the Vatican, casinos across the world, parliamentary buildings and international telecoms operators.

The company's clever, key-based systems are relevant to a huge range of organisations, enabling them to control, monitor and record access to their property, facilities, vehicles and equipment.

The ability to manage and protect their resources more effectively reduces operating costs, improves safety and often results in significant improvements in productivity - many customers enjoying a return on their investment in a matter of months.

The Awards are made each year by The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.

Traka's Managing Director, John Kent said the company's 39 employees were enormously proud of their achievement. He added: "I'm absolutely delighted that our continued efforts have been recognised and rewarded - this is a wonderful achievement and reflects more than 12 years' investment in technical innovation, customer understanding and international sales development."

The idea was founded by John Kent in 1990 when British Airways asked him to develop a system to safeguard its airside ground support vehicles.

Since then, Traka has become a world leader in intelligent access management solutions. Its UK customers include police forces, museums, prisons, hospitals, hotels and numerous commercial organisations. Its unique fork truck management system is used by over 9,000 fork trucks in the UK alone.

Marketing Development Manager, Martyn Baker, said: "Four years ago, we received recognition for our innovation. Four years on, it's our success overseas that has been recognised. It's no coincidence. Traka systems are now widely acknowledged to be at the forefront of intelligent access management. Our second Queen's Award will reinforce customer confidence, as we seek to enter new overseas markets during the next phase of our company's development."

They are presented in three separate categories: International Trade - recognising companies that have demonstrated growth in overseas earnings, Innovation and Sustainable Development.

About Traka systems:

The Traka system operates by securely attaching each key or key-set to a special iFob using a security seal where it locks into the Traka electronic cabinet. From there on Traka ensures that only authorised staff with the correct access privileges can gain access to the cabinet and each individual key is independently restricted. The use of each key and every key taken is recorded automatically into a central PC database, showing the key user's name as well as the date and time taken, and equally importantly, when it was returned. Once users are accountable, they take more care of the keys and the equipment they access.
If a key is not in the cabinet when it should be, there's no need to ask around the office who has taken it - the Traka system will have logged the user automatically when they took the iFob.
Traka holds all the information on powerful networked software so that long-term records may be stored and maintained to analyse equipment use, identify faulty equipment, show late returns of keys and to prove key usage.
With Traka there is no argument about who has damaged a vehicle, taken a piece of equipment, received a speeding fine or lost a key. Access to Traka managed keys can be via PIN code, swipe card or fingerprint recognition.
Traka can incorporate an alcohol testing facility to ensure keys aren't released to operatives of dangerous equipment prior to taking a breath test.
Traka can help to plan the usage and value of company assets: how long a vehicle has been used for; how often certain files are accessed; and how many times a year a lift motor room has been accessed for maintenance.
As every iFob has a built-in electronic tag, it doesn't need a label, so anyone finding a lost one won't know what it opens or starts.
Every Traka system can now give instructions to each user in their native language - so if a worker is Polish, Czech, Spanish or Japanese, they will be able to follow the instructions.
The iFob, which can be used to operate fork lift trucks, can also collect and store information. It can record that a driver accepts the condition of a fork truck before using it each morning. Its shock sensor can even record if the truck has been in a collision. When an iFob is returned to the Traka cabinet, faults can be reported, ensuring that the equipment is locked out of use until the repair is made.
iFobs not only grant access to authorised personnel, but they can be programmed to work only at certain hours, or for specific lengths of time. Traka systems can also ensure that any faulty equipment is locked out of general use until repaired, whilst still allowing the service manager access.
Keys can be reserved in advance for later use, and a reminder is shown on the key display if anyone else tries to take a key when it needs to remain in place for the 'booking'.

New features recently developed by Traka include intelligent electronic lockers. These are being widely adopted for managing equipment used in businesses that are attractive to steal or are prone to being lost or damaged by users. Items such as security radio handsets, personal alarm systems, radio data terminals, PDA's and laptop computers can all be RFID tagged and managed centrally. They can be pre-booked, perhaps remotely, for an operator to use at a specific time and date. Administered from a single PC, assets across an entire organisation can be monitored to see who took them and when, when they were returned, including logging any damage to the equipment.

Rush Tracking Systems Features VisiblEdge at the CSCMP Supply Chain of the Future Lab

Rush Tracking Systems Features VisiblEdge at the CSCMP Supply Chain of the Future Lab

Kansas City, KS (Vocus) September 13, 2010

Rush Tracking Systems (http://www.rushtrackingsystems.com), a leading provider of advanced tracking solutions, software and services for manufacturing and warehouse operations, will feature a live demonstration of its innovative VisiblEdge solution for automating lift truck operations at the CSCMP Conference at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego.

Material handling professionals would typically have to visit a warehouse or distribution center to see material handling solutions in action. At this year's Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Annual Global Conference (Sept. 26 to 29), attendees will have the unique opportunity to see equipment in action at the Supply Chain of the Future Lab. Rush Tracking Systems will collaborate with other material handling product providers in a demonstration of their solution, VisiblEdge, in a real time warehouse simulation.

VisiblEdge is ideally suited for constrained manufacturing and warehouse environments, and supports business processes such as automated shipping and receiving, returnable container tracking, work-in-progress tracking, replenishment operations, and finished goods tracking.

VisiblEdge enables unprecedented real time visibility to the status and physical location of inventory and material handling assets. By leveraging RFID and real-time lift truck positioning technology VisiblEdge is able to optimize three core components of world-class warehouse management: Inventory Management, Labor Management, and Vehicle Management. The real-time granular status and location data help improve return on net assets by improving inventory accuracy as well as shipping and receiving quality. Additionally VisiblEdge can streamline material movements, increase operator productivity, reduce working capital (reduce lift truck fleets & inventory) and enhance the effectiveness of existing LMS solutions.

"With today's lean enterprises effective warehouse management has never been more challenging or important. The lack of real-time and accurate data about the location and status of your inventory can create costly errors which make your supply chain operation drain critical resources and make your operation uncompetitive. " said Chuck Thompson, vice president of sales for Rush Tracking Systems. "The simulated warehouse in the CSCMP Supply Chain of the Future lab will show attendees first-hand how VisiblEdge can simplify, error proof, and improve the competitiveness of their supply chain operations."

The Supply Chain of the Future Lab will run Sept. 26 to 28, 2010, at the CSCMP Conference at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego. To schedule a one-on-one demonstration in the Rush Tracking Systems Booth #0713, call (913) 227-0922 or email sales(at)rushtrackingsystems(dot)com.

METTLER TOLEDO VFS220 Forklift Scale Turns Weighing Into a One-Step Operation

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) February 13, 2009

METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the release of its new On-Board Forklift Scale, the VFS220. Whether shipping, receiving, or managing inventory, weighing can be an extra step that slows down an operation. The METTLER TOLEDO VFS220 forklift scale changes that, enabling users to obtain accurate weight readings without transporting every load to and from a scale.

The VFS220 is designed as an aftermarket add-on to any ITA Class II carriage forklift. It consists of two components: a scale carriage assembly (5,000 lbs x 5 lbs NTEP approved), which is installed between the forklift truck's lift bracket and forks, and a scale controller, which is mounted on the forklift truck's head guard.

Here are just a few highlights of the forklift scale:

Easy Installation: Mounting the VFS220 scale carriage on a forklift truck is as easy as installing forks. Just hang the scale on the lift bracket; adjust the locating tab; and tighten two clamps. No welding or shimming is required.

Wireless Scale Communication: The moving scale carriage communicates with the controller by radio signal. Unlike other forklift scales, it is not connected to the controller by cables that can be damaged or cause maintenance problems. The strong radio signal is adjustable, with a range of power settings and channels.

Maximum Visibility: The scale is designed for improved safety and productivity. The center of the carriage is open, providing a high-visibility window that makes it easy for the forklift operator to see loads and position forks for lifting.

Exceptional Accuracy: Our patented split-flexure design provides greater weighing accuracy and repeatability than standard flexures. By increasing flexibility, it allows the scale to transfer load to the load cells more effectively.

Touch Screen Operation: A user-friendly touch screen makes the scale controller easy to operate. It allows the forklift operator to complete a variety of weighing transactions in a few simple steps. Administrators have access to setup screens for customizing weighing operations.

Wireless Network: With a wireless network adapter, the scale controller can transmit data instantly to a wireless local area network. The PC card adapter uses standard Wi-Fi protocol for compatibility with any network. Because the controller utilizes Flash Memory, it will not lose data if the network goes down.

Weighing Capabilities: METTLER TOLEDO VFS220 forklift scales are programmed with the capabilities to perform a full range of weighing tasks:

Gross weighing
Net weighing with push-button tare
Net weighing with keyboard tare
Accumulating gross weights
Accumulating net weights
Less-than-truckload transactions
Multiple transaction storage
Counting

Data Management: Despite its compact size, the scale controller has the full capabilities of a PC to store and transfer data. It is designed to fit seamlessly into your business operation, allowing quick and reliable data management. Weighing data is made available for download at the end of a shift or in real time using a wireless network. Download options include Ethernet, USB, and Wi-Fi. The controller is compatible with peripheral equipment such as printers, bar code scanners, and RFID tag readers.

METTLER TOLEDO is a leading global supplier of precision instruments and is the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of weighing instruments for use in laboratory, industrial and food retailing applications. METTLER TOLEDO provides weighing solutions that help customers by automating processes, increasing yields, controlling product quality and complying with industry standards and regulations. Voice123 (voice123.com) Releases New Categories for Voice Over Projects

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 17, 2007

Voice123 (http://voice123.com), the largest online marketplace for voice talents and voice over jobs, recently announced the addition of new categories for voiceover projects on their website.

The new categories are useful for both voiceover talents and voice talent seekers that use the Voice123 service. Voice actors now have a larger number of options to select on their profile and talent seekers can make a more accurate classification of the project there are posting on the Voice123 website. This will allow Voice123 to make a more precise matching, ensuring that voice artists will access project suited for them and that project owners will get the right auditions and final voices for their recordings.

Including the new categories, Voice123 (http://voice123.com) becomes the voice over marketplace for: radio, television, and Internet commercials and promos; documentaries and audio books; character voices for cartoons, films, videogames and dubbings; jingles and songs; IVR (interactive voice response), voicemail, phone, and on hold messages and systems; corporate, business and industrial presentations and trainings; podcasting and audio for websites; movie trailers; adult content recordings, on-camera recordings and infomercials; live announcers; and spokespeople.

Depending upon a voiceover actor's skills, abilities and willingness to do these kinds of voiceovers, the talent can select specific options to be displayed in their profile. Selecting any type of recording is based in the discretion of the voice artist and Voice123 does not encourage any member to mark a category unless the talent is comfortable with that specific kind of work.

On the other hand, voice talent seekers will be able effectively filter the database of voices Voice123 (http://voice123.com) has and match their projects more accurately depending on their specific requirements.

Reading, PA (PRWEB) November 17, 2004

EnerSys announces that it has been recommended for registration to the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) ForumÂ's TL 9000 Quality Management System Requirements and Measures standard in early November following a successful audit of EnerSysÂ' quality management system by its chosen registrar, NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland). EnerSys will be the first battery manufacturer registered to TL 9000.

TL 9000 is a quality standard developed by the worldwide telecommunications industry. TL 9000 provides a telecommunications specific set of requirements and is based upon the ISO 9001:2000 standard. There are approximately 60 specific additional requirements to which EnerSys demonstrated compliance.

This recommendation is another important step towards EnerSysÂ' goal of becoming the premier battery supplier of choice within the industry and in the worldwide marketplace by focusing on achieving total customer satisfaction, providing exceptional customer service, and delivering quality products on time and in a cost-effective manner. This achievement follows EnerSysÂ' 1993 registration of the first US industrial battery plant to ISO 9002:1994 and the 2001 registration to ISO 9001:2000.

FleetCards USA Responds to Trucker Protest Resulting From Rising Gas Prices

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 3, 2008

With the cost of fuel rising to astronomical heights, Independent Truck drivers are reportedly parking their trucks and going to work for somebody else.

Although gas prices have increased in the past two months, diesel fuel costs have grown much faster, by 18 percent. This is an increase that many truckers simply cannot pass on to their customers.

"The big trucking companies buy a lot of fuel and get a discount, but the little guy doesn't," said Tracy Reinke, a Stillwater-based independent trucker. "If I have a major breakdown on a truck, an engine or a transmission, I won't have enough money to fix it."

Large trucking firms are also being hit hard by the high fuel prices, said Tiffany Wlazlowski, a spokeswoman for American Trucking Association, an Arlington, Va., trade organization for the larger members of the trucking industry.

"Trucking companies operate on a 3 to 4 percent gross profit margin," Tiffany said. "While fuel historically is their second-highest cost after labor, it has become the top expense."

There is little that truckers can do to offset this price increase.

Some drivers are trying to work additional hours to make enough money to pay for the additional cost of fuel.

Other truckers are seeking corporate solutions such as FleetCards USA .

"FleetCards USA offers a selection of fuel cards that can help any fleet business get a handle on their operating expenses," says Mike Noles, President, FleetCards USA. "Our fleet card brands have extensive contracts with different fueling operators ensuring that customers receive choice and flexibility when choosing their fleet card."

"Fleet cards also help companies monitor each vehicle in their fleet's fuel economy," says Noles. "If you have a large fleet under your purview, it can sometimes be hard to monitor the exact economy of each vehicle."

Finding a way to manage fuel costs for fleet organizations is one of FleetCards USA's primary concerns.

About FleetCards USA

FleetCards USA caters to a wide variety of businesses and has a great selection of fuel card brands to choose from. As industry leaders, they can deliver a personalized fleet card recommendation in minutes. Visit their website at http://www.fleetcardsusa.com
