GapInsurance123 announce record new sales figures for Gap Insurance the new 13 plate car registrations in the UK

Wirral, UK (PRWEB UK) 2 March 2013

UK Insurance provider, Aequitas Automotive, have announced record sales figures for the company's GapInsurance123 brand for product sales on new cars. The GapInsurance123 brand, featured in the Which report on Gap Insurance in 2012, announced today that March 1st provided the highest single day sales figures for the brand.

Company spokesperson Mark Connor, provided more detail for the announcement, and a series of factors for the results.

"Any product sale connected with vehicle purchases would expect a natural peak to coincide with new car registration months. March has seen the beginning of the 13 plate in the UK, and at Gap123 we have seen a huge increase in both our website traffic and customer service team inquiries."

"The lead up to March 1st has been much busier than we have seen before, with many customers looking to set up cover ahead of time. The Gap123 team expected a busy day on March 1st, with large numbers of car buyers picking up their 13 plate car. "

"Aequitas Automotive are pleased to announce that the first day of March 2013 provided the single highest product sales day in the history of the GapInsurance123 brand. In fact the figures achieved actually exceeded our previous record by 20%."

"Such was the increase in calls that our team were still calling customers to set cover in place after 9pm at night, a full two hours after our scheduled time to close."

Aequitas Automotive believe that the result may indicate a good month ahead for new car sales in the UK, but also that UK consumers may be turning to online providers for traditional 'add on' products.

Mark Connor explained "Clearly the sale of a Gap Insurance product is linked to the purchase of a new vehicle by a consumer. The strong lead up to March, and the record result on the first may indicate a buoyant month ahead in car showrooms."

"It is also the belief of Gap123 that UK consumers are more aware than ever before, that it may be much more cost effective to buy products such as Gap Insurance and Tyre Insurance away from the motor dealer."

Aequitas Automotive Ltd own and operate two of the leading UK Gap Insurance brands, Easy Gap and GapInsurance123.
