TRENTON PCI Express

TRENTON PCI Express® Backplanes Expand x16 Video and GPU Card Support

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 26, 2012

The Trenton BPG7087 and BPG8032 industrial backplanes are now available for use in military & aerospace, general-purpose GPU and video display wall systems. These backplanes are the backbone of rackmount computer systems that support high-performance option cards with PCI Express x16 electrical interfaces. The design of each PCI Express backplane delivers outstanding system bandwidth while ensuring fast data transfers with minimum latencies at full PCIe x16 link speeds. The backplanes support a wide array of PICMG® 1.3 single board computers including Trenton's single processor TSB7053 and dual processor JXT6966. A system designed with a BPG7087 or BPG8032 backplane, COTS PCI Express option cards and Trenton single board computers provides the speed, flexibility and faster Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) critical in applications such as military surveillance, video display walls, machine vision, silicon wafer manufacturing and medical diagnostic systems.

Here is an abbreviated features list for the Trenton BPG7087 and BPG8032 industrial backplanes:

x16 PCIe cards: BPG7087 provides full link speed support for up to four x16 cards

x16 PCIe cards: BPG8032 provides full link speed support for up to seventeen x16 cards

BPG7087 Option Card slots: Ten, PCIe 2.0, x16 mechanical slots with four x16 and six x4 PCI Express Gen2 electrical interfaces

BPG8032 Option Card slots: Eighteen PCIe 2.0, x16 mechanical slots with seventeen x16 and one x4 PCIe 2.0 interfaces

BPG7087 Backplane Size: 12.3" (31.2cm) x 12.9" (32.8cm)

BPG8032 Backplane Size: 16.4" (41.6cm) x 12.9" (32.8cm)

Advantages: Latest PCI Express switch technology ensures maximum data throughput speeds with superior communication link integrity.

All Trenton PICMG 1.3 backplanes are designed for 7+ year availability and come with a five-year factory warranty.

"Trenton backplanes are known throughout the industry for reliability and interface communication integrity," said Brad Trent, Trenton Director of Engineering. "The BPG7087 and BPG8032 give our customers a couple of great design options for their system solutions utilizing x16 PCI Express option card and single board computer technology."
