Boral Bricks Expands Commitment to Safety Excellence with Intelex

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) December 28, 2012

Intelex is pleased to announce Boral Bricks Inc. is expanding its commitment to superior safety by leveraging streamlined, centralized training management tools. By choosing Intelex's web-based safety and training solutions, Boral is joining an expanding roster of Intelex clients in the construction industry.

With 46 showrooms spread across 12 states, Boral Building Products will be using Intelex's training management software to standardize training across all sites. Previously, Boral relied on a variety of approaches to training documentation, training tracking, and training delivery for sales representatives, fleet drivers, forklift drivers, supply chain teams, and management across all distribution centers. Intelex training management system software will consolidate all training records, quizzes, content and related documents within one centralized web-based system.

"With more than 300 employees to train across 46 sites, it can be challenging to maintain records, standard operating procedures, standardize testing, keep everything up to date, and ensure there are no gaps in our training program," explains Ryan Henkes, Performance Manager at Boral. "We're confident the Intelex system will help us continue to improve our safety focus by centralizing all training requirements. What stood out with Intelex was the ability to configure everything, including quizzes, and the additional functionality that didn't involve going to a third party."

Notably, Boral is configuring the Intelex system to build customized training quizzes accessible in both English and Spanish, with standard operating procedures, audio files, visual aids, and other related documents and media provided directly within the quizzes.

Working at jobsites and within showrooms containing a variety of heavy-duty building materials – including brick, stone, siding, hardscape and masonry accessory products – frontline Boral employees can be exposed to a number of day-to-day hazards and risks. Boral Bricks Inc., which already has a strong safety record, will be better equipped to become even more preventive and proactive in its approach to safety management with the Intelex system.

"Our hope with Intelex is that it will help us continuously improve our safety culture and safety awareness, and provide another employee engagement vehicle to achieve our goal of zero harm," adds Henkes.

"At Intelex, we're committed to helping companies improve training and safety performance, thereby improving health and safety conditions for all employees," says Intelex President and CEO Mark Jaine. "As such, we're proud to work with a company that takes workplace safety as seriously as Boral Bricks Inc."
