ESAB Provides On-site Support for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Darlington Raceway

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products is proud to once again be part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, SC during its legendary Mother's Day weekend. ESAB will be providing support on-site for the 2013 Bojangles' Southern 500® and Nationwide Series VFW Sports Clips Help a Hero 200 on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, 2013.
The ESAB Solutions Tour Truck, fully equipped with a wide range of state-of-the-art welding and cutting systems and consumables, will be parked infield adjacent to rescue teams ready to provide assistance if needed.
For the last several years, the Mother's Day tradition has moms of the NASCAR Spring Cup Series drivers serving as the grand marshals for the Bojangles' Southern 500® race, a 500-mile race. Race fans from across the country attend the race weekend when the town of Darlington's population of less than 7,000 swells to more than 65,000. ESAB has supported this popular NASCAR event and the Darlington Racetrack for many years.
At past events, ESAB has re-welded a car seat for a Busch driver and has welded a gusset into a roll cage for a race team. ESAB also assisted the Darlington Racetrack with a procedure to decrease welding time when making repairs to the barrier wall.
